New society sets European training and continuing education standards for organisational development

The “Society for Adaptive Organisations” offers a European seal of quality for consultants and trainers.

Munich, September 2025 – With the founding of the Society for Adaptive Organisations, leading European organisational developers, coaches, and trainers are forming a new institution that creates uniform quality standards for training and consulting in organisational development. With its services, the society supports companies in adapting to an uncertain market. The aim is to help organisations become more customer-focused, effective, and resilient.

“Especially in these times of great uncertainty and tight budgets, choosing competent partners is particularly challenging,” says the society´s managing director, Roza Silva. “Our certification system helps you recognize high quality standards and makes your selection easier.” The society is responding to a growing demand for certifications that are tailored to the specific characteristics of the European market. “Current international certifications are often geared toward the needs of the US market,” explains Dr. Jürgen Hoffmann, founding member and chairman of the association’s board. “As a result, existing certifications have become less and less relevant for organisations and purchasers. Our offering is clearly geared toward the European market with its high-quality standards and the desire for tailor-made solutions.”

The society supports these goals by ensuring a high level of quality among its members—organisational developers, training providers, and management consultants. To this end, a joint certification program for established roles in product development will be launched first. Topics such as organisational design and leadership development are in preparation.

Currently, courses in English, German, and Italian are accredited. “We are working on rapidly expanding the range of languages and content on offer,” says Managing Director Silva.
